mission
Enjoy the Journey is a place to cope with the academic pressures of high school.
Stressed? Ask for advice. Work load getting too heavy? Tell us your story.
Been there done that? Share your secrets.
No one should be forced to run this race alone.
Ever feel like the school pressure is too much? You do a sport, a few clubs, work... and on top of that, there are the 4 hours of homework menacingly waiting for you every night.
But who said all this is necessary to be successful? Teachers? Colleges? Our parents? A recent LFHS survey said students feel the most pressure from colleges, and rightfully so. Many students want to attend a prestigious school, and some will do whatever it takes to get there (even if that means getting 2 hours of sleep, cheating, taking 6 AP classes...).
This may work out for a small percentage of students out there, but for most of us all this stress seems unnecessary. Secondary to being educational, high school should be FUN. It's the time to meet new people, do stupid things that we'll (hopefully) learn from later, and discover what we're passionate about. It shouldn't be a "Race to Nowhere."
